    • What really brought this lesson home for me are the 5 steps: (1) our solitude with Jesus, (2) his freedom in choosing and calling, (3) our response to the call, (4) the shared life of companionship with Jesus and the other disciples, and (5) the mission to teach and heal And the reminder that only the last one is the doing of God's work out in the world; the first 4 are allowing God to do His work inside of us. It really made me reflect more deeply on my own work. We will not take our books or even our works to Heaven; we will only present our Souls to our Heavenly Father. The quality of our Souls will determine everything that we do in this life, and the next. A profound lesson.
    • I was deeply moved towards God during my first Confession in 30 years two weeks ago. I WEPT in the Confessional. I didn't think that would happen, and I don't know where it came from. But clearly I've been carrying a weight that was weighing me down, and my tears were of relief. After my Confession I felt as light as a songbird. During that Confession I felt an immense love for God and from God. I felt His mercy and my remorse. The entire experience was very moving and it helped me understand the importance of that Sacrament.
